Why Guestbook.Memorial is free

The honest version, because funeral directors have earned honesty.

Jess Fields, Jr.

My name is Jess Fields, Jr., and I’m a fourth-generation licensed funeral director. My family has owned Rosewood Funeral Home in the Greater Houston Area since 1927. The field my grandfather originally bought as a small cemetery has grown into four funeral homes with two cemeteries and a crematory, and serves families of all backgrounds, faiths, and means.

Guestbook.Memorial is a digital register book. Guests sign from their phones by scanning a code, so you get names spelled out, real email addresses, and whatever note they leave — legible, and no strangers to decipher weeks later. The book stays open after the service instead of closing that afternoon, so people who couldn’t attend can still sign. The family ends up with a list they can actually read and actually reply to.

Most software folks introduce themselves with cold calls, but I’d rather introduce myself with a valuable product that you can use to create a better experience for the families you serve. This is a complete product that other people charge hundreds of dollars per year or more for, but costs extremely little to run, so I’m making it free forever with no strings attached. The only thing I ask is to have a chance to earn your business with other products I build — just as we all work with families to earn their respect over multiple generations.

What I will never do

If that sits right with you, give it a try. If you’d rather talk to a person first, I’d welcome the call — jess@precisionoutreach.com.
